Crimewave was established 11 years ago by managing director, Justin Hammond, who remains with Swift Group to further develop the business. The company’s electronic security services are backed up by an experienced and discreet in-house security investigations team, staffed by former serving police officers.
Castle led negotiations for Swift Alarms Group and structured the deal, which was completed within 12 weeks from the first meeting of parties.
“We saw Crimewave as being a perfect fit for Swift, the deal negotiations were intense but most satisfying in that all parties wanted a prompt completion – 12 weeks from start to completion is indeed a swift conclusion,” says Castle director, Mike Norrie.
It was very much a West Kent transaction, with solicitors Warners (Jonathan Roberts) and accountants Lindeyer Francis Ferguson (John Francis) also being retained by Swift.
Crimewave is the second acquisition managed by Castle for Swift, following the purchase of fire protection specialist Safyre in 2008.
Swift Alarms Group chairman, Roger Rawlings, adds: “Mike kept his foot hard down on the deal accelerator and promptly dealt with all challenges in a constructive and positive manner. We at Swift are excited at the national expansion prospects Crimewave can deliver for the whole group.”
