New Belgium Brewing, maker of Fat Tire Amber Ale, is bringing its beer-toting, film-traveling, nonprofit-benefiting Clips of Faith show ( to Kansas City on Thursday, May 31. The third annual Clips of Faith tour has hand-selected a variety of amateur films and will be serving palate-elevating beers under a blanket of stars this Thursday at Theis Park.

Since its inception, Clips of Faith has raised more than $91,000 for local philanthropic organizations and shown nearly 40 amateur films. Last year, the Kansas City festival had nearly 800 attendees and parked over 300 bikes. This year the event will have local food vendors, BikeValet and the chance to win a New Belgium Cruiser Bike!
The Clips of Faith films embrace many genres, including comedic shorts, animation and environmental documentaries. Some of the selected films for the 2012 tour include: The Canning Queen of the Desert: Classie Parker, a tale about the time when everything you needed to know about integrity, guts, and the meaning of life was in the conversations of the kitchen; DamNation, a collection of impassioned voices and spirited stories from people entrenched on both sides of the divisive issue of a dam; and Foxy Shazam – Unstoppable, a film entirely created with old school theater trickery, puppeteering and black light.
