New authentication options allow integration with Active Directory and LDAP servers; Single-Sign On features make it faster and easier to securely access any Rollbase instance; Multi-factor authentication enhances security.

Rollbase, Inc., an innovator in cloud application and platform as a service (PaaS) technology allowing the rapid design, development and deployment of on-demand business applications, today announced new features that make it faster and easier to securely access Rollbase accounts. The new capabilities allow users to more efficiently manage enterprise users, enable single-sign on access to Rollbase, and enable multi-factor authentication via challenge questions to further ensure user identity.

For organizations that have standardized on Microsoft's Active Directory (AD) or Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) as their identity management system, Rollbase now offers a simple integration process within the Rollbase user interface that allows users to be authenticated by these external systems. This allows enterprises to strengthen security and avoid errors from entering information into two separate systems and enhance efficiency since users do not need to remember multiple email addresses, user IDs or passwords.

Single Sign-On (SSO) support is also now available for Rollbase using HTTP POST and HTTP GET requests, allowing customers to integrate with a variety of external systems regardless of required request format. With this new SSO support, users no longer need to provide additional ID and password credentials to log in to any Rollbase instance. Instead, a session ID confirms the user as having already been authenticated by a trusted source, their enterprise's own network or another applications. This single sign-on process makes it faster and easier to access Rollbase accounts.

In addition, multi-factor authentication can now be enabled to further ensure user identity by providing a set of pre-defined challenge questions defined by users upon first login. Users have the ability to edit these questions as needed and a cookie remembers whether they have been recently answered, thus not requiring the user to answer them every time they login.

OneLogin, a leader in cloud-based identity & access management services, has implemented integration with Rollbase allowing customers to integrate with Active Directory for free. For more information on using OneLogin with Rollbase see:

"I have been using the new Rollbase authentication API successfully with as a directory by simply passing an HTTP GET request to authenticate my users" said Andrew Bridges, General Manager of W.Studio and W.Print in Shenzhen China.

"With Rollbase we have learned that the more flexible and configurable we design each feature the more easily it will meet each of our customers' unique business needs," said Matt Robinson, co-founder and CEO of Rollbase. "These new authentication and security features reflect our commitment to making the entire experience around deploying and using Rollbase easier, more convenient, and more secure and are a direct result of the feedback we've received from some of our largest customers."
