Exprodat will travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in June 2012 to attend SPE America’s Unconventional Resources Conference and present the first release of their Team-GIS Unconventional Analyst software for well planning and reserves estimation.

Exprodat specialises in applying Esri’s ArcGIS platform to oil and gas exploration and production business problems, and has responded to the huge increase in Unconventional fuel projects by creating Team-GIS Unconventionals Analyst, the new release of which will be demonstrated during the conference.

Developed to reduce the capital investment needed to most efficiently extract unconventional reserves through the efficient planning of well pad locations, Team-GIS Unconventionals Analyst is also a key tool for oil and gas companies reporting accurate unconventional reserves to regulatory bodies.

Exprodat’s Technical Director, Chris Jepps, said “We’re really excited about the opportunity to show our new ArcGIS 10 release of the Unconventionals Analyst software at the SPE Americas Unconventionals conference. We developed the product in partnership with a leading global integrated natural gas company and we’re looking forward to making this technology available to other companies working on shale gas, shale oil or coal seam gas projects.”

The conference and exhibition will take place between 5th and 7th of June and looks at all aspects of the Unconventional fuels industry from emerging technologies to evaluation methods and reservoir modeling.

Exprodat’s Team-GIS product suite is made up of a number of extensions to Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop that provide ‘out-of-the-box’ functionality designed specifically for the needs of the petroleum sector. Team-GIS software is data independent and allows oil and gas companies to integrate vendor data with in-house datasets for use in GIS-based spatial analysis.

To see how Exprodat’s new software combined with their staff’s excellent knowledge of applying GIS to the petroleum industry will provide benefits to your workflows visit stand 410.
