City breaks specialist, Superbreak, has reported a 68% increase in bookings for their Eurostar breaks product after the launch of their exclusive free seat upgrade offer in mid-May 2012. Initially due to expire on the 31st May 2012, the Eurostar Free Seat Upgrade deal offers Superbreak customers the chance to upgrade from standard class tickets to standard premiere tickets at no extra cost.
The offer which is valid for travel between the 16th July 2012 and the 31st August 2012 has proved highly popular with the tour operators’ customer base and since the launch, Superbreak has reported a +68% increase in booking volumes for Eurostar breaks over the stipulated July and August travel dates, with Paris and Bruges the most popular destinations booked to date. Subsequently, the York based tour operator has now extended the offer until the 13th June 2012 to allow customers an additional chance to benefit from this exclusive offer.
Travelling via standard premiere class Superbreak customers can benefit from extra spacious, comfortable seats, complimentary newspapers & magazines on board and a light meal and drinks served to their seats. The Eurostar offer is available on all of Superbreak’s Eurostar destinations except for Amsterdam, Antwerp, The Hague & Rotterdam providing great value travel to Europe for customers seeking and continental city break this summer. What’s more with the option to add standard or first class rail from regional UK stations to St Pancras station Superbreak customers can travel to their chosen European destinations in comfort from the start.
Superbreak has already built up a strong reputation as a transport provider offering a range of two night UK hotel and rail breaks, Eurostar breaks to the continent, P&O mini cruises and, more recently, hotel and flight packages to sunshine and city break destinations. Last year, thousands of passengers travelled with the company on one of its popular rail breaks and the company hopes to strengthen its position in the travel market place, opening up even more travel opportunities and short break destinations to its customers.
Superbreak’s Head of Overseas and Ancillary Product & Contracting Chris Hagan commented: ‘The offer to date has been a massive success hence we are delighted that Eurostar have decided to extend it the booking period for a further two weeks. European cities are amazing value in July and August and with a free upgrade to Standard Premier you can start and end your break in style.’
