InventHelp®, America’s largest invention submission company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Florida, has designed a modified dunnage bag that could make it easier to secure cargo. This invention is patented.
“Reusable Self-Inflating Dunnage Bag” would feature a self-inflating design for easy setup. This feature would eliminate the need to use an air compressor, air tool or gauge. The device would automatically fill the bag with the appropriate amount of air, which saves the user time and tools.
Reusable Self-Inflating Dunnage Bag would consist of an inflation device that is incorporated into the design of a high-quality polywoven dunnage air bag. The device would be rectangular or square in shape and producible from polyethylene or plastic. The inflator would consist of a compressed gas-filled cylinder that would be attached to an automatic capsule. A string and a tab would be connected to the center of the device. Status indicators would be located by the string and at the base of the capsule. To use, an individual would place the air bag into the space where needed and pull the string to release the compressed gas in the cartridge. The cartridge would inflate the bag with air so that it fills the proper amount of space between the cargo during travel. The inventor suggests refilling used cartridges at a “recharging station,” which could be located on the user’s loading dock or facility. Reusable Self-Inflating Dunnage Bag can be produced in different shapes and sizes, and the cartridge could be refilled or exchanged for a full cartridge.
