Groundbreaking ... John Nemo set a new standard for Labor Organizations.
St. Paul, Minnesota (PRWEB) May 29, 2012
Public Relations and Social Media Consultant John Nemo's 2010 Social Media campaign for the Minnesota Nurses Association during the largest nursing strike in U.S. history was called "groundbreaking" and hailed as setting "a new standard for labor organizations across the country."
Nemo has taken all of his best insights, advice and examples from that historic campaign and rolled them into a free e-book called "Share This! Labor Unions and Social Media!"
"I still get multiple calls or e-mails every month from folks inside and outside of the Labor Union movement asking for advice on Social Media," Nemo said. "I've given dozens of talks and shared my insights online through videos, slides and other types of presentations, and the beauty of this e-book is that I can now put all of that knowledge into one place for people to access."
Nemo said he's packed the book with every best practice, strategic insight and lesson he's learned during five years of working on various Social Media campaigns.
"I loved the fact that I could use photos, graphics and videos to illustrate my points and provide real-time, real-life examples of how a particular strategy or tool worked to our benefit," he said. "When you're finished with this e-book, you're going to know how to use Social Media to engage your members, influence public opinion and even drive mainstream media coverage as a result of what you do online."
Nemo's 2010 Social Media campaign for the Minnesota Nurses racked up impressive numbers - including 495,000 Facebook page views and 11,285 new fans in a 90-day period.
"The social media campaign that he developed for the Minnesota Nurses Association set a new standard for labor organizations across the country," noted Andrea Ledger, Senior Staff Member, Communications and Field Mobilization, for the Minnesota Nurses Association.
“John led a groundbreaking social media campaign for the Minnesota Nurses Association during their contract campaign in 2010," said Ryan Nagle, Director of Strategic Development and Communications for SEIU Healthcare Minnesota. "I was amazed to see how professional and timely their communication was during a critical period for their organization. There are a number of good ideas that John implemented on their campaign that we will definitely be using on our upcoming campaigns."
