Planning a Jubilee garden party? Online Turf can help. All orders for Stadium turf placed between 29th May 2012 and 11.59pm 5th June 2012 will be upgraded to premium Rye Gold for free!

Online Turf is celebrating 60 years of Elizabeth II’s reign by upgrading customers free of charge from Stadium turf to Rye Gold, so that customers can create a truly regal garden. The Rye Gold has all of the hard-wearing properties of the Stadium turf but enjoys a finer appearance – much like our monarch!

When Elizabeth II came to the throne in 1952, Online Turf was still a working agricultural family farm, with no thought to turf production in post-war Britain, still under rationing. Times have changed since then, but Online Turf is proud to still be a British farm and to celebrate this historic jubilee with Britain. All turf is grown on Online Turf’s fields in beautiful Lancashire, and the business remains a family-owned farm. Blending tradition and innovation is something that helps both the monarchy and modern businesses move forward.

M.D. Ian Mercer said, “We are proud to celebrate the Jubilee, and to be able to offer our customers a premium product at a competitive price. This free upgrade allows customers to have the best possible garden through the summer of 2012, a year which promises to be a memorable one for Britain. Why not celebrate by making sure you have a memorable lawn?”

In order to receive the free upgrade, customers simply need to order the Stadium turf and the Rye Gold upgrade will be automatically made. Stadium and Rye Gold are both rye grass based blends, which makes them both hard-wearing; the Rye Gold, however, has a finer appearance, giving a garden a regal appearance.

“The Queen is, of course, welcome to the same upgrade as anyone else,” added Ian. “We can deliver our turf right across the country, so Buckingham Palace wouldn’t be a problem!”
