College Station, TX (PRWEB) May 30, 2012
Gov. Mitt Romney cruised to a Republican Party primary victory in Texas on Tuesday, as did President Barack Obama for the Democrats, however voting continues in the “Headed to the White House 2012 Straw Poll” at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at Texas A&M University.
The results as of May 30 are: Gov. Romney 1,343 (56.5); President Obama 841 (35.4%); and Third Party 191 (8%).
The straw poll will run through Election Day in November and is in conjunction with the “Headed to the White House” exhibit currently on display at the Bush Library and Museum.
The poll is not scientific and does not represent an endorsement of any particular candidate or party by the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum or the National Archives and Records Administration.
The straw poll is meant to encourage greater voter participation, an important part of the Bush Library and Museum’s mission to promote civic literacy and education.
