Westerly, RI (PRWEB) May 31, 2012
As one of the top 10 healthiest states in the country (source: 2011 United Health Foundation), it is appropriate that Rhode Island will soon host Hometown Health, an informative and entertaining video program with content from local medical practitioners providing insight on important health and medical issues (http://www.YourHometownHealth.com).
Dan Brearley, a Westerly native, and one of Central Florida-based Hometown Health TV’s original production team members, is launching the video program which will feature a specialty-exclusive network of Rhode Island area medical professionals.
The program is updated monthly with new health and medical content and will air in the participating doctors’ waiting rooms, online and in other potential mediums. Brearley, who is HHTV’s first licensee, plans to air the first episode of Hometown Health Rhode Island in the fall 2012.
All content is posted on the Hometown Health website along with a listing of participating medical practitioners and their websites so prospective patients can learn more about their services.
“The Hometown Health model is unlike any other in the Ocean State because it provides area residents the opportunity to get to know medical professionals in their community through a dynamic, entertaining and informative medium,” said Brearley who is executive producer and president of High End Media which will produce the local program.
Recently named the National Incubator Business Association’s 2012 Incubator Client of the Year, Hometown Health TV has been recognized not only for its production value but for partnerships it has fostered that further health education efforts. Partnerships include other local media outlets as well as community health organizations, such as the Lake County (Fla.) Health Department, the Florida Hospital Waterman Community Primary Care Clinic, and the Lake Sumter Medical Society.
“The original intent of Hometown Health was to expand to other markets providing local physicians with a unique opportunity to educate prospective patients about their medical knowledge across multimedia platforms, as well as their contributions to the community,” said Marc Robertz-Schwartz, president and founder of Hometown Health TV, LLC. “The combination of Dan’s production expertise, familiarity with the Rhode Island community and his commitment to excellence is a formula for success in this new market.”
Brearley has already enlisted a seasoned broadcast and marketing professional to assist with recruiting medical practitioners to the Hometown Health Rhode Island network.
