The Flames Pass, the multi-faceted ID for all Liberty University students, was recently voted Best Card Design by the National Association of Campus Card Users (NACCU).

The Flames Pass was one of 18 card designs from around the country to be nominated for the award, which was voted on by NACCU members prior to the conference.

“The card design was created by the Marketing Department (formerly Office of Promotional Publications) as part of a series of designs that the student body voted on as a component of the launch of the new Flames Pass in Spring 2010. We are proud of this design and the involvement of the students,” said Erica Marbury, Director of Card Services.

Heather Gastardi, assistant director for Card Services at Liberty, accepted the award at the NACCU Conference in Seattle, Wash., on April 24.

“Our office has worked very hard to get where we are today and it is nice to see that work paying off,” Gastardi said.

The Flames Pass not only allows students to access services on campus, but can also be used at off-campus restaurants that accept Flames Cash, a declining balance account. The Flames Pass is also available for faculty, staff, and online students.

Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Va., is the world’s largest Christian university. Nearly 100,000 students attend classes on its 6,800-acre residential campus and study in its thriving online education program.
