Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced the release of Service Gateway Version 4.3 (SG v4.3), which contains more than 20 new customer-requested enhancements, as well as improved event prioritization and extended platform compatibility.
Designed specifically to assist broadband service and cable providers manage many different connected devices—devices like modems, routers, set top boxes, and home gateways—in order to remotely support their subscribers, SG v4.3 includes many improvements, including:
- Event prioritization, which allows customers to configure priorities for events and determine how priorities are handled based on system loads
- Upgrading all platform technologies to the most-recent versions for enhanced performance and security
- Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2, Solaris x86 and Windows 2008
- Additional customer-requested enhancements, including:
o Throughput Diagnostics (TR-143) support
o Device 2.0 (TR-181i2) support

"This latest release really focuses on eliminating the load issues commonly faced by the digital service provider market. Event prioritization ensures that, even during unexpected spikes in processing, critical events can be prioritized and, therefore, processed for subscribers without any disruption,” said Andrew Matheson, product manager for Consona. “Now our customers can discard events they deem unimportant when processing loads are unexpectedly high, as well as better protect against DoS attacks or misconfigured devices.”
