Conexus, a premiere third-party supply chain logistics company serving the United States, Canada and Mexico, contributed thousands of dollars in donations and in-kind gifts to non-profits over the past six months. In addition to the financial contributions, Conexus’ employees contributed hundreds of volunteer hours to local Tulsa non-profits since November 2011.

Conexus employees help lay sod to finish up 10 new homes in the Joplin, Missouri community ransacked by tornados in 2011.

We are all affected by the communities in which we live and work. As Conexus grows, we strive to continuously invest back into those communities by providing financial support and sweat assistance.

Conexus invests in programs and initiatives that better the communities in which its employees reside. Since November, 2011 Conexus has provided support to organizations in the Tulsa and surrounding areas that include:

•Donated Logistics Services – In an effort to help rebuild Joplin, Missouri after the devastating effects of May, 2011’s tornados, Conexus moved essential home building materials in two trucks from the Tulsa Habitat for Humanity offices to the build site in Joplin, saving the organization thousands of dollars.

•Building Homes for Habitat – Since November, 2011, Conexus employees have contributed numerous hours of sweat assistance on various Habitat build sites. Build sites include two homes in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a day of assisting with the rebuild of 10 homes in Joplin, Missouri as part of the Habitat for Humanity’s Ten for Joplin program.

•Raising Awareness and Support – In April, 2012 Conexus employees donated and raised funds for the American Heart Association to help promote the building of healthier lifestyles free of cardiovascular disease and stroke. In addition to the financial support, several Conexus employees participated in the Tulsa Heart Walk on April 21, 2012 to help raise awareness of the dangers of heart disease and to support the organization.

“We are all affected by the communities in which we live and work,” said Kyle Gholston, Vice President of Conexus. “As Conexus grows, we strive to continuously invest back into those communities by providing financial support and sweat assistance. At Conexus, it is our belief that when we contribute to the community through our financial resources and the power of our people, everyone benefits. We look forward to investing more of our time and resources as we continue to grow.”

Conexus is currently working on unique fundraising initiatives to benefit the United Way this summer and plans to join another Habitat for Humanity build in the Tulsa community in the fall of 2012.
