Mercer Island, WA (PRWEB) June 25, 2012

Formotus, Inc., today announced an integration with Box OneCloud to provide greater mobile functionality and efficiencies to Formotus mobile business forms. Now Formotus’ rich data capture forms can be stored, edited and shared via Box OneCloud across teams to maximize enterprise productivity and social collaboration.

Formotus forms are used by building inspectors, service technicians, merchandisers, delivery drivers or health care practitioners, among many others. Mobile workers fill out and submit custom forms with field data that can include photos, signatures, geo-stamps and more. The new Box OneCloud integration broadens mobile workers’ ability to engage in social workflows and free-form collaboration on their mobile devices.

New Forms of Mobile Data Collaboration

“We’re enabling a whole new range of scenarios where data collection meets social collaboration – we think of it as social workflows,” said Adriana Neagu, Formotus co-founder and CEO. “The Formotus platform enables mobile workers to collect structured data in InfoPath-compatible XML forms. Now Formotus forms can be stored and managed as simple XML files using Box, where they can be opened and edited by other team members. ”

Custom Formotus forms are built by customers and partners without writing any code, using Microsoft Office InfoPath. Forms are then uploaded and deployed from the Formotus cloud console to mobile users who install the forms on iOS and Android devices. Once a form is installed, the mobile user can create a new draft and submit it to Box as an XML file attachment. Alternatively the mobile user can locate a submitted XML form in a Box account and open it for review or to add additional information, as they collaborate with other mobile users or their colleagues in the back office. Social workflows can be designed so that the appearance and behavior of the form changes dynamically based on its disposition – that is, changing values in a form can alter what the next person opening the form will see.
