Willie Wilson is Excited to Announce the Return of the Willie Wilson Legends' Game of 2012 to Benefit Spinal Cord Injuries and Project Walk-Kansas City

Willie Wilson, along with other MLB legends, will return to CommunityAmerica Ballpark for the 2012 Willie Wilson Legends game and a night of fun, to benefit spinal cord injury recovery efforts in Kansas City.

This exhibition contest, scheduled for August 11 at 7:05 p.m. at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, is the perfect opportunity for fans to see former major league greats take the field once again. Past contests have featured appearances by legends such as MLB Hall of Famers Fergie Jenkins and Ozzie Smith, Royals Hall of Famer and three-time 20-game winner Dennis Leonard, 1985 World Series winner and former T-Bones hitting coach Darryl Motley, 1993 World Series hero Joe Carter and all-time great closer Lee Smith; as well as memorable moments such as an appearance by Kansas City icon Buck O’Neil and Royals Hall of Famer Amos Otis depositing a home run over the 18-foot wall in left field. This year's game will feature appearances by Jamie Bluma, Jody Davis, Bobby Dernier, Danny Jackson, Tito Landrum, Dennis Leonard, Daryl Motley, Bill Pecota, Ron Robinson, Vernon Wells Sr., Frank White, Mark Whiten, Willie Wilson and others.

A full roster of legends, various media personnel and sponsors will be announced at a later date. Tickets to the event are $10 for reserved seats and $7 for general admission/berm. This will be the second year that the Willie Wilson Legends' Game will help benefit people with spinal cord injuries in the Kansas City area.
