Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) June 22, 2012

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission and the City of Hermosa Beach, CA have joined the ranks of award-winning government websites. Both agencies were honored at the 2012 California Association of Public Information Officials (CAPIO) Annual Conference, receiving the Award of Merit and the Award of Distinction, respectively. These awards are given to "the best of the best in government communications."

The results of this year’s CAPIO Excellence in Communications Awards proved to be a successful ceremony for Vision Internet as their government website team was involved in developing 2 of the 3 websites receiving awards.

“We are very excited for both of these wins,” said Vision Internet President and Founder Steve Chapin. “Working with the City of San Francisco to integrate our government CMS was a hugely successful project, and the Hermosa Beach website design is now one of the most innovative for cities in Southern California. We’re proud to have worked with these progressive clients to create two successful government websites.”

In previous years, the City of West Hollywood, City of Santa Cruz, and Sweetwater Authority were also honored by CAPIO for their industry-defining work with the Vision Team.
