Would you Jubilieve it! More than 35% of Brits say they will head to a street party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend according to BreakFree Holidays.

With big names including Heston Blumenthal and Gary Barlow taking part in events, and even the Royal Barge coming out of retirement, the poll of 796 people from short breaks specialist BreakFree Holidays shows that the celebratory mood is catching on across the UK.

Of those who responded, 36% say they are going to a street party this weekend, 53% say they’re not and the remainder are so far undecided.

Jo Taylor, marketing manager at BreakFree Holidays says: “It’s brilliant that so many of us will be partying with our friends and neighbours over the bank holiday.

“There’s a real party mood among the UK public at the moment, we really seem to be enthused by the Jubilee, the Olympic countdown, England in the European Championships and the bout of warm weather that we’ve all enjoyed.”

BreakFree Holidays sells short breaks at holiday parks across the UK from as little as £20pp.
