Today, AQS announced a new release of its AQS Access Policy Administration Suite including a significant update to its industry leading product configuration application: Designer Access. With the new release of Designer Access, business users will have greater ability to build and maintain products while using a new interface and navigational prompts that make product design easier than ever.
This redesigned interface includes the new “Genius” feature that guides the business user through the product development process whether using rating bureau content or creating unique company products. Because of AQS’ unique relationship with ISO, users can easily download and maintain ISO based content using the same tools and formats that ISO uses, resulting in more accessible and accurate product data. As part of this product development process, users can now also create and integrate business rules while building their products.
All page and field attributes are now included on a granular basis within Designer Access. This allows users to automatically generate new user screens with any product changes. Unique company screen changes are now included within Access’ patented inheritance model so that these changes are isolated from ISO product updates. This makes integration of ISO content updates simpler than ever.
Another new feature allows users to analyze the impact of proposed rate changes on a book of business. This ‘what-if’ capability gives the company the ability to balance and optimize the growth and profitably of their books.
In addition to the core enhancements to Designer Access, other modules of the suite have also been enhanced. The policy component has been significantly upgraded using a new tree-structure. This configuration makes navigation easier for both novice and expert users and provides better and faster processing through the advanced workflow.
Many other changes make the AQS components much easier to integrate within the enterprise. According to Matt Black, AQS’ Chief Application Architect, “The powerful plug-in architecture of Access is one of the solution’s key strengths. Recent enhancements improve the client’s ability to develop customer specific API extensions. Customers can build their own custom processes and access them with a single call to the AQS Access system. That, in conjunction with an extensive framework allowing for synchronous and asynchronous integration with 3rd party systems throughout the policy workflow, makes this an extremely powerful solution.” Specific features recently deployed include the capabilities to:
With these enhancements, the AQS Access Policy Administration Suite continues to set the standard for configuring and processing complex lines of business, especially for commercial and specialty lines. “AQS is committed to delivering solutions to our clients and the market that continually enhance the foundation upon which their success is built,” says Dave Kerford, AQS President and CEO, “Our promise is that we will never stop in our effort to imagine more ways to make our clients successful.”
