Actress and Playmate, Anna Sophia Berglund, has been added to the cast of the film Cockroaches. The feature film is being produced by new independent production company Roachtown, LLC. Roachtown is an independent production company formed by Benjamin Morris and Ryan de Quintal.
“The Cockroaches family is very excited to welcome a new member to our family”, stated Benjamin Morris, Producer with Roachtown. “The absolutely delightful and lovely Anna Sophia Berglund is the latest star to attach to our film.” Berglund recently joined the eclectic cast of Cockroaches, a fast-paced, dark, crime comedy set to begin production later this year.
After joining Cockroaches Anna Sophia Berglund stated, “I love the feel of the script, it’s action packed and badass.” Berglund is eager to be playing a pivotal character in the crime comedy revolving around the kidnapping of the Pope, “My character Alice has a bit of an attitude, which will be fun to play.” Anna Sophia Berglund, who is most recently known for being Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend, studied film at both UCLA and the prestigious Beverly Hills Playhouse. Berglund has appeared in a variety of projects including the film “Amelia’s 25th” featuring Danny Trejo and Jennifer Tilly and the hit reality shows “The Girls Next Door” and “Holly’s World”.
Producer and actor, Ryan de Quintal, stated his feelings toward the addition of Anna Sophia Berglund to the film Cockroaches, “Anna really is the perfect fit for Alice, and we all feel this film will be her opportunity to showcase her talents to the world.” Berglund is joining fellow actors Tommy “Tiny” Lister, Zach McGowan, Luke Massy, Robert Miano, David Ury, and Robin Zamora. Roachtown is also currently working on attaching other well known actors to Cockroaches to fill out the already impressive and constantly growing cast.
Roachtown will begin production of the feature film Cockroaches fall 2012. Writer and director, Christoffer Aldell, created the promotional trailer to provide audiences with a look into the world he wants to create with this project. Roachtown producer Benjamin Morris stated, “The promotional trailer reveals Christoffer Aldell’s gritty, quick, Guy Ritchie-esque vision for the feature film. The feature film will definitely be non-stop entertainment as showcased by our promotional trailer.”
