Research Triangle Park, NC (PRWEB) June 04, 2012
the perfect setting for a baseball game – warm weather, family-friendly atmosphere, a hot-hitting team and of course, a beautiful, lush field. The grass is greener at Durham Bulls Athletic Park this season thanks to members of the Bayer CropScience Grounds Crew, who scored a home run by winning the Best In-Game Sponsored Element award from the Durham Bulls during the team’s First Pitch Luncheon in April. The official groundskeepers for the minor league powerhouse were recognized for cultivating some of the best sod in baseball during the 2011 season, as well as entertaining fans of all ages by displaying their turf talents in between innings.
A 2012 sponsor of the Durham Bulls, Bayer CropScience was chosen over four other nominees in the Best In-Game Sponsored Element category by a panel of local judges.
“We are proud to bring the benefits of Bayer CropScience ingenuity to the greater Triangle community through our partnership with the Durham Bulls this season,” said Beth Roden, External Communications Lead, Bayer CropScience. “Our Bayer CropScience Grounds Crew hopes to give the Durham Bulls a major home-field advantage this year by getting our hands in the dirt to provide players with the greenest field in the minor leagues.”
