Concordia University, Nebraska has introduced The Concordia Graduation Commitment, a program to help students graduate within four years or on a timeline they help set. If students follow their personalized graduation plans but are unable to graduate on time, Concordia will cover the cost of any additional courses they need to graduate.

“This is important for students and their families," said Jenny Mueller-Roebke, Concordia’s provost. "Concordia’s plan ensures that students and parents know from the beginning how long it will take to complete a degree and get a handle on the tuition they can expect to pay."

At the core of the Concordia Graduation Commitment is an individualized graduation plan. While most students will create four-year plans, students who want to graduate a semester early or double major will have the flexibility to create personalized plans and still be part of the Concordia Graduation Commitment.

"The commitment is both individualized and meaningful," added Mueller-Roebke. “We promise to help you graduate on time if you follow the plan we set together.

"Every student goes through the process of putting together a plan. In the rare case that a student can’t graduate on time because of our error, we promise to make things right, even if it costs us money. That’s only fair and honest, and that’s who we strive to be as servants of Christ."
