Bradenton, FL (PRWEB) June 07, 2012
ETCO Incorporated announced the release into production of its newest product, the Closed Back Insulated Female Disconnect. Made for usage primarily in the home appliance industry, the product provides a secure electrical connection that bests all current rival products. The connector comes from ETCO’s tradition of solving problems in the appliance industry with unique, cost- effective solutions.
The Closed Back Insulated Female Disconnect provides a secure connection for products with the following wire ranges: 18-14AWG and 22-18 AWG. Using ETCO’s industry leading crimp, the connector provides minimal loss of voltage. Indeed, in testing, the connector experienced one of the lowest drops in voltage measured for this type of product. With the new protective backing, the conductive portion of the connector is completely insulated. By providing an enhanced level of safety in appliances, ETCO has come out in front of the connector industry with a product that has no equal. The product also meets the new UL 749 standard, one of the first connectors in the industry to claim this feat.
Research and Development
In development for nearly a year, the housing of the connector was created to specifically meet and exceed UL testing and CSA approval. Mike Cummings, Director of Engineering for ETCO, states, “This connector was developed primarily with cost and quality as primary considerations in the manufacturing process.” Cummings continues, “Our research teams created this product knowing also that the safety and performance of home appliances were dependent on this quality part.”
The Closed Back Insulated Female Disconnect is now available for orders in quantities of 25,000 pieces or more. Shipping out of the US based manufacturer’s factories, the company is providing lead times of less than 5 weeks.
Founded in 1947, ETCO is a privately owned company.
