After more than a decade of bridging the technology divide created by fast-paced device and consumer shifts, nGenx is launching the nFinity Browser™ and nFinity Basic Desktop™ to boost the power of Chrome OS run devices such as the powerful Chromebox and revolutionary Chromebook.
The nFinity Browser™ and nFinity Basic Desktop™ are low cost productivity tools designed for businesses and educational institutions alike. Whether you are a school district rolling out thousands of Chromebooks in a one-to-one device model, a small to midsized business who needs to seasonally scale their workforce devices in an efficient manor, or an Enterprise that is attempting to roll out a bring-your-own-device model to various departments – nGenx solutions paired with Google devices make it all work at a fraction of the traditional virtualization cost.
“We are excited to be working with Google to launch this cutting-edge technology for Chrome OS users” said Robert Bye, President and CEO of nGenx. “Chrome devices are the wave of the future. They are faster, safer, and allow for a true cloud computing experience”. The nFinity Browser™ helps to bridge technologies by giving users the power of Chrome while enabling access to any site, regardless of its underlying framework. If running Google Chrome, users will be able to install the nFinity Browser™ from the Chrome Web Store and place it on a new tab page or in the app launcher. Products and websites which traditionally are not accessible are now available to anyone, using any device.
For those who must have Windows only application access but wish to operate on a Chrome device, the new nFinity Basic Desktop™ fits the bill. This lightweight HTML5 based service is capable of running a full Windows 7 emulated desktop. Applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange, QuickBooks, Adobe and more can all be run on a per user basis. Storage, printing, USB redirection and data backup are all included in this solution. Desktop settings and preferences can be set and stored for all user login sessions. This desktop is entirely accessible from the web and can therefore be accessed by any device running a browser that is HTML5 compliant.
These powerful new solutions were showcased at various North American Google Atmosphere Events. Visit http://www.atmosphereontour.com/en to learn more. The nGenx Tech Preview registration sites are now open and accepting applications, subject to approval, for a free seven day trial of the nFinity Browser™ http://www.nGenx.com/chrome and nFinity Desktop™ http://www.ngenx.com/tech-preview.
