La Casa Sena and La Cantina will close June 4 through June 11 for a brief remodel. They will reopen their doors on June 12, 2012 to reveal a more approachable, less formal dining destination for lunch and dinner. The remodel will introduce a new contemporary look and feel to the restaurant and La Cantina. La Casa Sena aims to have a more modern look, while maintaining its Santa Fe charm and tradition. They will also be giving their menu a complete overhaul. La Casa Sena is a SantaFe.com Featured Business on the company’s business directory.

The new menu, designed by Chef Patrick Gharrity, will feature seasonally inspired New American West cuisine infused with Southwestern influences. Guests can opt to start their meal with appetizers like the Seafood Sampler that offers lobster sausage, halibut ceviche, cucumber salsa, pasilla-crusted Tuna sashimi and edamame-wasabi puree.

Or try a more comfort food approach with the Fry Duo with tomatillo-green chile aioli and morita chile ketchup for dipping sauces. For main courses, the menu features dishes such as Molasses-Adovada Pork “Palito” with grilled peach sauce, rattlesnake beans and sweet corn salad..

Another option is a new spin on a New Mexico favorite, THE Green Chile Cheeseburger. La Casa Sena’s Green Chile Cheeseburger is made with New Mexico beef, spicy green chile and Humbolt Fog Blue Cheese. Loyal fans of this former fine dining mecca need not worry that Chef Gharrity and his team are veering drastically from the culinary course. The new menu will also feature a few old time favorites and specials.

Chef Gharrity is a dedicated culinarian who believes in, “building community through the vehicle of food.” This is demonstrated in his commitment to supporting local farms, dairies and ranches.

The new menu will be offered at La Casa Sena, La Cantina and on the patio. In order to meet the needs of their diners, a full menu will be available all day. The lunch menu is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; the early dinner menu is available from 3 p.m. on and the main dinner menu is offered from 5 p.m. until closing.

Complementing the new approachable menus, La Cantina will be open for lunch and dinner. The renovation included addingt two TVs to the space as a nice addition for guests who want to get out of the heat and relax. The singing wait staff will still entertain guests nightly starting at 6 p.m.

The La Casa Sena Wine Shop will remain open during the remodel.

Diners will continue to enjoy the restaurant’s unparalleled courtyard. A new patio bar has been added that opens daily at 3 p.m. and is the perfect place for guests to sit back and relax while they take in the beautiful gardens and enjoy wine, cocktails and great food.
