NobleHour today announced plans to sponsor the Upper Midwest Civic Engagement Summit at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 6, 2012. The summit, which is hosted by the Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin Campus Compacts, helps campuses network, create strong community partnerships, and learn how to integrate civic and community-based learning into their curricula.
The summit will comprise of several presentations exploring different models of community engagement, sustainable service-learning strategies, and other civic-engagement focused topics. Speakers include representatives from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Buena Vista University, the University of Northern Iowa, Macalester College, and other institutions.
