Brook Forest Voices(BFV) latest audio release is "Keiko the Koala", a children's book written by Jill Storti of South Carolina and illustrated by her father, Robert Hartenstine. It tells the story of little Keiko who painfully becomes aware that he is not really a bear and is therefore ridiculed for being different. As an audiobook and enhanced ebook, 'Keiko' is complete with sound effects and music engineered by Derek Whitacre and narration by Tara Saltzman.

“We’re particularly intrigued by the educational potential of the enhanced ebook format, because it allows the child to view the pages and illustrations, while having the book ‘read’ to them by the narrator, or the narration can be turned off, allowing the child to read on their own,” stated Diana Andrade, president of BFV. “We believe this could be a valuable learning tool, accelerating the reading ability of the child, in an entertaining format.”
