WriteResult, leading provider of clinical data management solutions, announced that the company has collected nearly 240 pounds of nonperishable food products for donation to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.
“We at WriteResult strive to improve the lives of others,” Project Manager Ellen Goldberg said. “We are extremely grateful to all who contributed to the success of our first food drive. One person CAN make a difference.”
Over 1 million people were food insecure in New Jersey in 2009 [1]. Of those, almost half (49%) are not eligible for federal nutrition assistance. Almost 400,000 are children. To help support the effort to raise awareness and donate food, WriteResult partnered with the Community FoodBank of New Jersey to sponsor a food drive.
The main collection point was in the lobby of their office building located at 20 Commerce Drive in Cranford. Employees of the 25 offices helped to surpass the goal set to collect 100 pounds of food within the week.

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey recommends items such as canned fish and meat, milk, boxed meals, canned packaged meals, peanut butter and canned fruits and vegetables.
