Totally Chill: My Complete Guide to Staying Cool, A Stress Management Workbook for Kids With Social, Emotional or Sensory Sensitivities authored by Christopher Lynch, PhD, is a practical stress management workbook that supports children in learning and practicing their stress management skills. While parents, teachers and therapists have an important role in helping children to manage stress, it is crucial that children develop stress management skills to manage their own stress as independently as possible.

Everyone feels stress - adults and children alike. It's part of life. But life can be a lot easier when we learn new skills and ideas to help us handle the stress in our lives.

Book Excerpt:

Totally Chill uses a one-of-a kind Stress Management Igloo that will intrigue readers to complete each chapter, as they receive two ice blocks upon finishing a chapter to build their very own, personalized Stress Management Igloo. The author points out that igloos and stress management skills are very similar; igloos are hard ice houses that protect one from harm. Similarly, stress management skills protect individuals from situations that can cause stress and anxiety. As such, this workbook tackles the complex web of stress and breaks it down into manageable pieces. Recommended for students in third grade through middle school, Totally Chill helps kids to deal with stress caused by homework, making friends, getting along with siblings, doing well at sports or a hobby, taking tests and much more.
