Bangkok, Thailand (PRWEB) June 10, 2012
Some of the most successful and established tourism driven businesses in Thailand are working together to help visitors discover more of Thailand in what has traditionally been called the off-season, from May until October, 2012.
Businesses launching the effort entitled, “Thailand’s Green-Season”, are being organized by Flight of the Gibbon Zipline Canopy Tours, and include IMM and Imperial Hotels, The Chiang Mai Zoo, and Segway Gibbon Chiang Mai. Several more businesses are expected to join the effort to promote the newly named Green-Season as 2012 progresses.
The idea is to offer visitor’s exceptional deals during what is commonly referred to as wet season, which varies throughout Thailand. Statistically, Wet season rarely impacts the experience that can be had at so many popular attractions throughout Thailand. These businesses believe it is more like ‘green season’ because everything is at its lushest and tropical peak. To encourage people to try some of the highest rated attractions, hotels and resorts in the country, packages are being created which include substantial discounts and free services that can rarely be found during peak season.
The most popular package is the choice of zipline canopy tour at either of Flight of the Gibbon’s two locations, in Chonburi near Bangkok and Pattaya or in Chiang Mai, and a free night at one of eight Imperial and IMM Hotels. For those visiting only Chiang Mai, a three-day tour of Chiang Mai includes a visit to the Chiang Mai Zoo and a two hour guided Segway Tour of the ancient city for about half of the peak season entrance fees.
Packages including airfare to various locations in Thailand and other activities such as golf, white water rafting and rock climbing are being developed in an effort to show visitor’s how easy it is to move around Thailand. Virtually any city can be reached in about an hour, regardless of the season. And once there, the rain, which is typically concentrated to an hour a day, will rarely interfere with some once in a lifetime adventures.
