Before opening up the platform, the two companies are recruiting 20 leading edge development partners starting on June 8, 2012 (Fri.).
"MatchBox" is a specialty application platform for popular "Turn-Based Games" on App Store, Google Play, and other game distribution sites. The platform’s biggest feature is the ability to play games at your leisure during idle time by logging in with an ID having a real social graph on Facebook™, Twitter®, etc., with the feeling of chatting together with real friends and acquaintances connected to over SNS. Unlike conventional social games, the light user level can be approached through experience in casual games.
"MatchBox" provides a total of eight features optimized for turn-based games including friend matching, friend invitations, SNS integration, chat/messaging, and a titling system. The application development partners will be able to leverage these features through easy application development that allows these companies to focus their energies on game planning and design.
Our "Matchbox" plans call for start of service provisioning in July 2012 and we will provide development tools preferentially to the leading development partners now being recruited, even after the "Matchbox" is opened up. We also have plans for upcoming features to facilitate the expansion of services.
The "Matchbox" game lineup will be populated with a full supply of games from these development partners. They will also provide fun-to-play and safe game applications to users in the smartphone game market with its high growth potential, as our efforts focus on putting out more enhanced services to development partners.
