Tonner Doll Company, a staple in the high end collectibles industry for more than 20 years, will attend 2012 San Diego Comic Con. Wilde Imagination, Tonner’s sister doll company, will also be in attendance showcasing their brand new Steampunk Collection called Imperium Park. Both Tonner and Wilde will be in booth 4149, and boast some tricks up their sleeves for the fans this year.
Last year, Tonner hit it out of the park with a 2011 SDCC Exclusive from their freshly-acquired Marvel Universe license: Dark Phoenix. She was very well received, and quickly sold out. The 2012 SDCC Exclusive hasn’t been revealed yet, but will be announced very soon. Stay tuned to the Tonner Blog on their website for more details!
Tonner Doll Company, known for their unique ¼ scale, incredibly detailed likenesses and quality craftsmanship, has been in attending SDCC since 2006, making this year their 8th in attendance.
“I am a huge fan of comics, always have been, so for me, it’s an amazing milestone that we’ve been doing this show for 8 years now,” says Robert Tonner, CEO and world-renowned doll artist. “This is by far one of the best Cons in the world, and it’s both a privilege and an honor to be in attendance.”
As for the surprises Tonner has in store? “Well, you’ll just have to wait and see,” says Robert, with a gleam in his eye. “But trust me: it will be a sight to behold. You won’t want to miss it!”
