Crestview, FL (PRWEB) June 09, 2012

After months of hard work and planning, “The House that Facebook Built” from Tew Construction will be showcased at the 2012 Parade of Homes, beginning this Saturday, June 9th until Sunday, June 17th. Hosted by the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties (BIA), the Parade of Homes is Okaloosa and Walton’s premier trade show for home builders and contractors. The inclusion of “The House that Facebook Built” exemplifies Tew Construction’s innovative practices and their longstanding commitment to the Parade of Homes trade show.

“The House that Facebook Built” is the brainchild of Tew Construction President, Jeri Tew-Toolan. After innocuously posing a Facebook poll concerning design options for Tew’s newest model home, Jeri received an overwhelming response which evolved into an entirely social media based design project. Followers of Tew Construction’s page on Facebook were surveyed on design options to incorporate into Tew’s newest model home; including countertops, room design, and even hardware schemes. The result became a custom home designed by Tew Construction’s vast community of Facebook supporters.

As the project evolved, Tew Construction decided that it would be the perfect submission to the 33rd annual Parade of Homes show. The Parade of Homes is known for recognizing craftsmanship and innovation in design, thus Jeri and the rest of Tew Construction are excited to have the perfect platform to showcase their passion project.

“Very creative. It’s one of the first campaigns that I’ve seen or heard of, like this, to build a home and promote a home. Very, very creative,” said Alan Baggett, Executive Vice President of the BIA.

The Parade of Homes will host 34 model luxury homes this year, with prices ranging from $150,000 to $1,800,000. Parade homes are open for viewing 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Sunday through Friday, and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturdays. All homes will be open 1:00PM – 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 9th for the annual Twilight Tour.

Tew Construction is no stranger to the Parade of Homes show. The luxury home builder hopes that “The House that Facebook Built” will become their 8th first place award at the annual event.

To thank the efforts of their loyal Facebook supporters, Tew Construction will host a completion party featuring refreshments and tours in recognition of the workers and voters that made “The House that Facebook Built” a reality.
