The site contributes expertly researched content to a community of DIY and beginner remodelers, as well as contractors and others in the remodeling industry. With the addition of the home valuation tool and several home services guides, RemodelingCentral’s developers want to help visitors connect further to the dream projects that will turn their homes into the paradise that they always wanted. That’s one of the main reasons why the site will be adding new partners.
“We want to reach out locally, so visitors can see a useful project and not only look at the plans but find a licensed contractor who can transform an idea into reality,” said Paul Drago, one of the developers behind RemodelingCentral. “Our target audience can do projects on their own but can also find help for those things that are just maybe a bit too complicated or need special attention. In some cases, it’s just a matter of needing something done by a professional because it has to last a lifetime.”
In order to connect visitors to services, RemodelingCentral first looked to national service providers, who were able to give a range of services to visitors who needed help. However, that wasn’t really enough to address all of the projects and services requested by visitors to the site. They often looked for a local service provider or contractor who had experience with different types of projects and could sign on to work with a homeowner’s home improvement game plan.
“By providing contacts to local contractors, we’re going a step further and really interacting with our visitors. It’s important that the projects and ideas that are showcased on RemodelingCentral do more than inspire, they can actually become a part of their homes. Our national service providers and local contractor professionals are highly recommended companies and individuals, licensed and insured, and who have expertise in residential and commercial remodeling,” said Drago.
RemodelingCentral’s developers are currently researching different local contractor companies and individuals who want to partner up in all 50 states. Those who are licensed, bonded and insured, as well as experienced, can expect to be added to the site’s partners and receive contacts by visitors looking for all kinds of remodeling services.
“Local contractors can be specialized in certain areas, but to really reach out to more clients, they need to have experience in a variety of projects, like kitchen renovation, deck building, and bathroom refurbishing. We expect that contractors know what they’re doing if they’re licensed and certified in an area, but in some cases, they really have to prove their eligibility to work on parts of the home, such as electrical and plumbing services,” said Drago, who has been a central part of the contractor selection process.
In the next two weeks, RemodelingCentral will unveil its local contractor partners in addition to its current national service providers. Along with plenty of new home service content, home valuation tools, a daily updated remodeling blog and an extensive article and renovation guide database, RemodelingCentral has proven to be an informative and essential force in the online remodeling community.
