Novi, MI (PRWEB) June 11, 2012
After being absent from all trade shows in 2011, Hydro Grow made their re-appearance this year at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan where the Indoor Gardening Expo was hosted by Maximum Yield Magazine. Hydroponics store owners from around the country gathered at the event to see the latest products and innovations the industry has to offer.
In total there were 6 different LED Grow Light companies in attendance at the show; Hydro Grow, Apache Tech, Kessil, Stealth Grow, LEDMio and Envirolux, however none had a larger showing than Hydro Grow. The difference was clear by those in attendance that there was not a more polished and professional looking LED Grow Light, nor one that was anywhere near as powerful. More impressive yet was the sheer number of products offered by Hydro Grow, with lights of all sizes to meet every gardening need.
Company President Cammie Mckenzie commented "This is the first time our X2 product line has been seen by a large public audience, and the first time our new 420X-PRO Vertical LED Grow Light has ever been seen by potential customers. We are still the first and only company in the world to invent such a product and are proud to have it on display with us today."
The new 420X-PRO Vertical light was amongst the most impressive items on display at the show, featuring 5 vertical columns of "Light Engines" emitting a pinkish-purple light in all directions. When turned on it caught the attention of all within a 30 foot radius, and temporarily blinded anyone staring directly into it. The product was a fantastic showing of how far LED technology has come over the past 5 years since the first LED Grow Lights began appearing on the market.
Another impressive display put on by Hydro Grow was the PAR (photosynthetic active radiation) output comparison with their new X2 lens technology. Two 21X-PRO lights (the smallest offered by Hydro Grow) were hung over identical graphs with the X2 lens installed in one light and removed from the other. To make the comparison tangible for passersby, there was a high quality Li-Cor 250A Quantum light meter for comparing output. It was seen by all who tested that the X2 lens was delivering nearly 4x the intensity of the light without the lens, despite them having identical power consumption and LEDs.
Companies were piled up at the booth all weekend long to see the LED Grow Lights that had the whole industry talking. Even competing manufacturers were spotted at the booth complimenting Hydro Grow on their design and power, while leading distributors in the industry were spotted inspecting the lights and hearing the story behind them. One thing was overly evident for anyone who watched the booth: Hydro Grow had stirred up some major interest in an industry that has been convinced LED technology is "simply not there yet".
