Medical imaging pioneers Intrasense choose PDF3D® technology for integration into Myrian® XP Liver

Montpellier based imaging solutions firm Intrasense have announced a fruitful collaboration with Visual Technology Services on their latest product Myrian® XP Liver. The French high-growth start-up company, whose series of software solutions Myrian® is benefitting a wide range of radiologists, surgeons and clinicians, now features more versatile and immediately communicative facilities with the power of PDF3D® visuals. Intrasense’s Myrian® software applications are user-friendly and easily integrated into existing clinical systems (PACS, RIS, HIS, Clinical Trial IS), enabling them to seamlessly provide high-level medical image review in a unified environment. These capabilities will now be given a further boost with the addition of PDF3D® technology to create 3D diagnostic and surgery scenarios reports.

New 3D PDFs produced by Myrian® XP Liver contain fully interactive 3D view facilities, including options for panning, zooming and rotating 3D anatomical reconstructions or surgery scenarios. The resultant files may be viewed by anyone with the free Adobe® Reader on Windows®, Linux, Apple® systems without requiring a full-time Internet connection or access to a Myrian® session.

Dr. Frédéric Banégas, CTO of Intrasense is pleased with the smooth integration of PDF3D systems, support and responsiveness during the development phase. “The new 3D PDF publishing facility was successfully demonstrated to our partners at RSNA Chicago, where we received very positive feedback. I look forward to seeing the impact that this new technology will have in the work of all our clients.”

Ian Curington, CEO of Visual Technology Services and the developer of PDF3D® is also delighted with the Myrian® integration. “I am pleased to see success in 3D medical imaging documents and the attention our 3D PDF technology is receiving through Myrian® XP Liver promises to expand the scope of future application.”
