INFINITT Healthcare Contracts with Seoul National University Hospital for Next Generation PACS

INFINITT Healthcare, a leading developer of image and information management technologies for healthcare, announced on June 11, 2012 that it has contracted with Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) in Korea – a world renowned acute care hospital and school of medicine -- for its next generation PACS.

INFINITT Healthcare has provided PACS software and services to SNUH for more than 10 years, and will help extend its diagnostic capabilities by implementing the next generation PACS which is under development as a part of the WBS Project (World Best Software project), sponsored by the Korean Government).

SNUH is comprised of the main hospital, the Children's Hospital, the Dental Hospital, and the Clinical Research Institute. Approximately 2,000 inpatients and 7,000 outpatients are treated each day by 500 medical professors and 5,700 staff. This will be the first facility in the domestic market to implement this highly advanced technology.

The next generation PACS solution from of INFINITT Healthcare enables healthcare providers to manage images and data not only from radiology departments, but also from Radiation Oncology, Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology and Internal Medicine. It also manages non-imaging and signal data produced from clinical departments. INFINITT’s next generation PACS has a specialized viewer for each clinical department s and offers CAD functionality, which automatically detects abnormalities of the on heart, colon, liver and lung.

In addition, a state-of-the-art computing technique enables the system to handle large volume data sets quickly and reliably. These improved efficiencies in data management improve the quality and timeliness of care and raise patients’ satisfaction level.
