The California Republican Party (CRP) and Democratic Farmer-Labor-Party (DFL) of Minnesota have joined the Campaign Cloud revolution and will be utilizing campaign management tools provided by ElectionMall.com. Campaign Cloud, powered by Microsoft, is providing California and Minnesota’s organizations, candidates, and volunteers with a “virtual tool kit” and the ability to create their own websites, build online fundraising pages, and manage their campaign activities.
“The California Republican Party is excited about utilizing Campaign Cloud, powered by Microsoft, for the 2012 elections,” said Brent Lowder, Executive Director of the CRP. “As the largest Republican State party in the country, we needed a platform that could provide technology resources to our 58 counties and thousands of local candidates. As a state party, Campaign Cloud has allowed us to manage our technology all through a single login and solution.”
Campaign Cloud is a one-of-a-kind solution developed by ElectionMall.com and is available free to campaigns of all sizes. Campaign Cloud transforms the way campaigns apply and use technology as it allows campaigns to manage staff, volunteers, and data, raise money through events and online widgets, communicate their message, build websites, and provide an outlet to sell promotional products. Campaigns can choose from multiple upgrades such as Document Manager, Tweet and Facebook Comment Archival, Online Fundraising, Facebook Applications, Website Tools, Get-Out-The-Vote Services, or create a private version with completely unique branding and customization.
Kate Monson, the Communications Director for the DFL, stated, "For the 2012 campaign, the Minnesota DFL Party is embracing technology that will connect our volunteers and help local leaders develop a dynamic digital strategy that supports our message. With a party organization that is unique to Minnesota, the DFL needed a scalable and robust platform to provide to local party units. We feel it is important for the State Party to provide tools that can help strengthen local grassroots engagement. Campaign Cloud, powered by Microsoft allows local DFL units to create and manage their own donation-capable websites, helping our volunteers accomplish more online than has yet been possible in many cases."
Campaign Cloud 2.0 is the first campaign-focused platform built on Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Computing Service. It has received two awards from the Web Marketing Association for “Best Advocacy Interactive Application” and “Best Political Interactive Application” for Egypt Votes 2.0 – a website that allowed Egyptian voters to share stories of their voting experience.
“Campaigns all struggle with technology and with our solution, Campaign Cloud, powered by Microsoft, we’ve made it easy for campaign staff, volunteers, and donors to log into the same ecosystem to communicate, join groups and even create their own campaigns using the latest technology available,” explains Election Mall CEO and Founder, Ravi Singh. “Campaigns now have one solution and one login to manage the technology they need to win.”
