Users can now navigate through charts, reports, rules and alerts more easily and quickly to acquire the right information and metrics they need

PHD Virtual Technologies, pioneer and innovator in virtual machine backup and recovery, and provider of virtualization monitoring solutions, recently released PHD Virtual Monitor version 10.2 with a new enhanced user interface. This update now makes it even easier and faster to solve complex monitoring issues and eliminate blind spots. “All of the great functionality in our previous version is now complemented by the new interface,” said Paul Throldahl, VP, Sales and Marketing. “Users can now navigate through charts, reports, rules and alerts more easily and quickly to acquire the right information and metrics they need to promptly identify and troubleshoot performance problems.”

Some of the enhancements in the new version are in the simple set up wizards. These wizards easily walk users through the initial setup of the product, providing out-of- box monitoring in minutes. Once the simple setup is complete, monitoring rules can be assigned to applications, systems and devices. The intuitive interface allows for easy identification of problem, trends and appropriate remediation actions – reducing the amount of time it takes to solve a performance problem when one arises.

Chris Chandler with DH Innovations has seen the product evolve over the last 18 months. “PHD Virtual Monitor always had great data collection abilities on the back end,” he said. “The new version now makes it even easier to get that data to the front end in an easily consumable format.” He continued, “Many times you need to make decisions in real time based on the information your monitoring tool is providing you. The more straightforward that information is, the better decisions I can make.” He concluded “PHD has made the latest version of their product much more intuitive which really helps me provide my end users with better support.”

“One of the biggest challenges our customers face today is having complete visibility across their virtual and physical IT infrastructure,” said James Legg, CEO of PHD Virtual. “Application availability and minimizing downtime are key to our customer’s success.” He concluded “The new PHD Virtual Monitor interface enables our customers to meet SLA’s with minimal searching and backtracking.”
