MORRISVILLE, NC (PRWEB) June 14, 2012
The State of North Carolina Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) selects Secure Enterprise Computing, Inc. (SEC) as the North Carolina-based vendor eligible to participate on the Statewide Security Assessment Services Contract in 2012.
SEC has been selected as a vendor for the fourth year in a row. The company is positioned to serve as a strong IT partner for the state. Laurie Leigh, Director of Sales and Marketing for SEC, notes, “This award is evidence that our good work with local government, public universities and community colleges in North Carolina has been noticed and rewarded. We are proud to be the only security services vendor selected and will continue to bring the most advanced assessment tools and expertise to North Carolina.”
ITS is the leading provider of IT services to state agencies, local governments, and educational institutions across North Carolina. As part of the 2012 IT Consolidation Report, Jonathan Wormer, State CIO, indicated that the state would “refocus its centralized IT management from the current service-provider structure to one of service management.” This points to further outsourcing as ITS continues to manage costs and overhead.
