Tampa Florida (PRWEB) June 12, 2012
In August of 2011, Christine Dean received the devastating news that her twenty one month old daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia. Christine wanting to more than just help her own child, learned through another mother, about an annual event called “46 Mommas.” Each year 46 different mothers of children with cancer shave their heads in Hollywood, California, to benefit Saint Baldrick’s Children’s Cancer Research.
Gary Kompothecras of 1-800-ASK-GARY, stepped up through the Bubba The Love Sponge® Foundation and donated $1,000 to Christine after her appearance on the Bubba The Love Sponge® Show for her trip to California on July 29th 2012 to participate as one of the “46 Mommas” event for Saint Baldrick’s Children’s Cancer Research.
“Gary is one of the most generous men I’ve ever met,” said Bubba The Love Sponge® Clem. “He comes through time and time again for many worthy causes.”
The Bubba the Love Sponge® Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) Florida charity he founded in 2008 to help raise awareness and channel donations to worthy community causes and victims. The foundation pays out no salaries, and all funds raised get distributed to chosen causes after any expenses for events are paid.
