We’re excited to bring our new Mobile Museum to the Fair to further connect children to science and nature.

This June, children at the San Mateo County Fair will have the opportunity to get up close with science and nature. For the first time, CuriOdyssey will bring its new Mobile Museum to the San Mateo County Fair. In addition to the Fair’s entertaining animal shows, craft displays, exhibits, and tasty food, CuriOdyssey will be one of the newest exhibitors in the main Expo Hall.

The Mobile Museum is CuriOdyssey’s newest program. Through it, CuriOdyssey partners with local businesses and community organizations, like the San Mateo County Fair, who serve families with children five to ten years old.

At CuriOdyssey’s Mobile Museum, children can explore science through hands-on exhibits and facilitated science activities. The activities and exhibits highlight natural phenomena, including sound, mechanics, and energy. Children will also have the opportunity to meet a few of CuriOdyssey’s live reptiles and mammals at the fair at various times throughout the day.

“The San Mateo County Fair is a long-standing tradition in this community, and we’re so pleased to partner with the organization. We’re excited to bring our new Mobile Museum to the Fair to further connect children to science and nature,” said Abi Karlin-Resnick, Director of Marketing and Business Strategy at CuriOdyssey.

The San Mateo County Fair runs June 9-17, 2012. CuriOdyssey will be at the Fair from June 13-15 from 12pm-6pm, and June 16 from 11am-6pm in the Expo Hall at the San Mateo Event Center. About CuriOdyssey
CuriOdyssey is a science center for children that incorporates the foundations of the former Coyote Point Museum, but with a new vision. The science center offers children a comprehensive introduction to the sciences. Our interactive exhibits, exciting wildlife encounters, and engaging science education programs give children authentic learning experiences that help develop an appreciation of the role of science in our lives. We provide the tools and experiences for children to learn and discover the fundamentals of physics, chemistry, biology, and geology by engaging them directly with scientific phenomena – animals, air, sound, water, plants, magnetism, and more. Through such interactions, we help to educate and inspire future leaders and innovators. CuriOdyssey is located in Coyote Point Recreation Area in San Mateo, California. For more information, visit
