APRES formula contains 9% zinc oxide, one of the highest percentages available in the sunscreen market to reflect & absorb UVA & UVB light. Sierra uses USP grade natural zinc oxide that is of the highest quality and purity. Sierra’s zinc oxide is finely micronized, however; it is larger in particle size than nanoparticle size zinc oxide.
APRES formula includes Hyaluronic acid - simply referred to as HA, and it occurs naturally in the body. One of the principle characteristics of HA is its ability to retain water and can absorb up to 1000 times its weight in water. APRES sunscreen uses it to hydrate the skin.
