Criminal Complaints Against Suvarna TV Channel & Chief For Instigating Violence In Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam

As per Life Bliss Foundation, the young spiritual organization Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam, headquartered near Bangalore in south India, which has seen phenomenal growth in the eight years since its inception, has been battling opposition for its pragmatic social initiatives, anti-corruption drive and the no-nonsense attitude of its founder.

In the wake of the recent violence captured on camera, a slew of complaints have been registered against a local media, Suvarna -TV Chief and a group of rowdy mob. As per the complaint, it is stated that the violence was sparked by the media chief called Ajith attempting to drop an unidentified package during a press meet with His Holiness Paramahamsa Nithyananda.

As per the first complaint number[# 0294/2012, Section 154 Cr.P.C with Karnataka State Police in Ramanagara, India], the list of criminal complaints registered against the accused Ajith & his henchmen are:
IPC 143, 149 : unlawful assembly
IPC 323: voluntarily causing hurt
IPC 354: outraging the modesty of a woman
IPC 504: criminal Intimidation
IPC 506: malicious Act intended to outrage the religious sentiment
IPB 148: rioting armed with deadly weapons

As per the second registered complaint [# 300/2012, Section 154 Cr.P.C with Karnataka State Police in Ramanagara, India], it states that strict action to be taken against H Ajith, the bureau in chief of Suvarna TV Channel under the following Indian Penal Codes.
IPC 143 ,149: unlawful assembly
IPC 147, 148: rioting, rioting armed with deadly weapons
IPC 323: voluntarily causing hurt
IPC 324: voluntarily causing hurt to woman with intend to outrage her modesty
IPC 326: causing grievous hurt
IPC 341: wrongful restraint
IPC 354, 509: outraging the modesty of a woman
IPC 427: causing damage or loss
IPC 504: criminal intimidation
IPC 506: malicious act intended to outrage the religious sentiment

The Bidadi police have deployed additional police forces in and around the ashram and enforced a curfew in the area to ensure the safety of commune members.
Meanwhile, Nithyananda’s peaceful followers worldwide have launched a campaign for justice for the beleaguered spiritual leader, demanding an investigation into the attacks and the immediate arrest of all responsible.
