Electrical contractor Robertson Bright Inc. (RBI) has become a Silver Member of the Canada Nevada Business Council. Membership in the Canada Nevada Business Council (CNBC) provides support for bilateral trade between Canada and Nevada.
“We are glad to have Robertson Bright join us,” said Frank Spady, CEO of Canada Nevada Business Council. “Since the company has a physical presence in Canada and Nevada, they already are very familiar with the amount of trade Canada and the Silver State have. We’re sure Robertson Bright and company president Wally Budgell will be able to benefit from CNBC and help make the cross-border ties much more solid.”
73,500 jobs in Nevada depend on the Canada–Nevada trade relationship, which is valued at $1.6 billion which is a prime motivation for the Canada Nevada Business Council. With offices in Canada and Las Vegas, RBI’s decision to become a part of the network made good business sense for the privately held firm.
“CNBC is Canadian business and industry’s voice in Nevada. We connect political leaders and economic developers to businesses in both places. RBI is in a strategic position to benefit from these efforts,” Mr. Spady said. “We expect RBI and CNBC to have a very successful relationship.”
RBI now gets access to select VIP briefings and special meetings organized by CNBC. The electrical contractor will also be utilized as a “subject area expert” by the Council on matters related to RBI’s core business.
Wally Budgell, RBI President, stated that, “as we continue to grow and develop our business operations in Nevada I see our association with CNBC being of great value to RBI and I hope that we will be a positive contributor to CNBC and the associated members.”
CNBC will highlight RBI on their website and place links to RBI’s websites. RBI will also stay informed of industry and business developments by receiving regular Council reports on Canada-US current events.
With the central office in Mississauga, Ontario, RBI has several offices across Canada and one in Las Vegas. Their other Canadian locations are in Calgary, Alberta; Kitchener, Ontario; and Peterborough, Ontario. The company has been in business since 1954 and has expanded many times. The latest acquisition was the purchase of Corona Electric LLC in Las Vegas in May 2011.
