Savari Selected as Vehicle Awareness Device Supplier for the $14.9 Million US-DOT Sponsored UMTRI Safety Pilot Deployment

Savari is pleased to announce that it has been selected from a global list of vendors to supply the Vehicle Awareness Device (VAD) for the UMTRI Safety Pilot Deployment (http://www.umtri.umich.edu/divisionPage.php?pageID=505). The 30-month UMTRI program will establish a real world, multimodal test site in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA for enabling wireless communications among vehicles and roadside equipment for use in generating data to enable safety applications. Passenger cars, commercial trucks, and transit buses will be included that are equipped with a mix of integrated, retrofit, and aftermarket V2V and V2I-based safety systems, a technology with the potential to prevent thousands of crashes.
