Onward MD Adds Prominent Local Physician to Team

Onward MD, a division of Onward Healthcare dedicated to connecting qualified physicians with the best locum tenens jobs available across the United States, is excited to announce that Dr. Thomas Ayoub, Chief of Medical Staff at Norwalk Hospital, CT, has joined the company as their newly appointed Senior Medical Advisor.

In his new role with Onward MD, Dr. Ayoub will provide oversight of the physician-side credentialing, review standards and methodologies of evaluating candidates and research industry issues and trends to provide insight to the organization.

Dr. Ayoub has been an active member of the medical community for more than three decades, specializing in gynecology and women's health. His education includes a Bachelor’s of Science (cum laude) and MD degree at New York University, where he also completed his internship and residency, and ultimately serving as the university’s Chief Resident from 1983 to 1984.

Dr. Ayoub is an active member of the Fairfield County Medical Association, the State of Connecticut Medical Association, and is a certified clinician for the North American Menopause Society. In addition, he is a member of the following boards: Physician For Women's Health, Medical Directory Health Market, Women's Healthcare of Connecticut, and the Bank of New Canaan. He also serves as a trustee for Norwalk Hospital and the Waveny Care Center.

Dr. Ayoub has worked at Norwalk Hospital since 1984, serving as the Senior Attending Physician, and the Acting Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology from 2009 to 2010. For the past two years, he has served as Chief of Medical Staff, providing leadership for more than 500 affiliated physicians – a role in which he continues to serve.
