SchoolDude Releases Reporting for Technology Readiness

SchoolDude.com announced this week that they have released new product functionality that makes it easier to compile and report IT assets to Pearson’s Technology Readiness Tool, which is offered by Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) and the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC). The Pearson’s Technology Readiness Tool will allow school districts to capture and report key readiness indicators, including: number and type of computers, network and bandwidth infrastructure, staff resources and other information needed to evaluate overall technology readiness for the coming transition to online assessment.
With this transition to online assessment, technology preparedness and planning become more evident. To assist with the gathering and collection of the readiness indicators, SchoolDude responded to several client requests for an easy report generator. On June 6th, SchoolDude made available the SchoolDude Readiness Assessment Report and Upload Generator, through the company’s IT Asset Management product, ITAMDirect. The report allows greater flexibility in how you can extract and provide required asset data for the Technology Readiness Assessment. Through this new enhancement ITAMDirect clients can now upload a report of all of their IT assets to the Pearson Technology Readiness Tool.
SBAC serves 27 states and represents 43% of the K-12 students in the US. States that are participating in PARCC educate approximately 25 million students and include 10 of the 12 Race to the Top winners. Both organizations received funding towards building next generation assessment systems for their combined 45 states. Each consortium was also individually awarded additional funding to help their states transition to Common Core State Standards.
Data for the program will be collected twice annually through 2014. The goal of the data collection is to provide updated information on technology and infrastructure readiness. The first data collection will end on June 14th.
