Shoulder 2 Shoulder, a Service-Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) developer of innovative mobile and web multimedia applications, has announced that the Company will conduct the first leg of a national awareness tour that will include visits to several military bases around the country. The tour kicks off in San Diego on June 18th at Camp Pendleton, the major west coast base of the U.S. Marine Corps.

During the week-long visit to the base, Company executives will conduct education and awareness sessions to help deploying service members better leverage the Company’s IMPACT(Injured Military Personnel Assisting Combat Troops) iPad Application.

In addition, the team will interview the wounded warriors stationed there for the Company’s video series that is the cornerstone of IMPACT. The IMPACT video content features critical information about the battlefield events leading up to and including an IED strike including pre-deployment training, unclassified details of the incident and life-saving lessons. IMPACT provides compelling instructional material for commanders as well as therapeutic material for wounded veterans who share their stories with each other. Sample video highlights can be viewed at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5INQiMZ6W7E.

The Shoulder 2 Shoulder education and awareness tour around the country will include stops at the following additional military bases later this Summer and Fall:

  •     Camp Lejeune
  •     Fort Bragg
  •     Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story
  •     Tyndall Air Force base

“Smart phones and tablets are the communications devices of choice for today’s generation of military,” said Chris Ferguson, co-founder. “By selecting this medium as the platform for IMPACT, we immediately leverage the growing power of mobile technology in a new way that aims to empower troops down range with the hard-fought lessons from their wounded comrades.”

IMPACT is conceived and developed solely for the use of the deployed, wounded and retired CIED community and requires relevant military credentials for use. It is available for download from the iTunes store. For more information, send an email to admin(at)shoulder2shoulderinc(dot)com
