Serial entrepreneur Anthony Delmedico is on a mission to revamp the core curriculum for grades 4-12 with his E2 petition for entrepreneurship education, touting the importance of education reform for our country. Entrepreneurship is the driving force for America to become the global leader in GDP, create jobs, and launch new generations of innovators. Over the last several decades America has undergone a massive undersupply of jobs which has positioned China to lead the way by the year 2040.
According to a recent report by the McKinsey Global Institute, America will need to create a net 21 million new jobs by 2020 in order to return to full employment.
"If we are serious about creating 21 million new jobs in the next 8 years, we need to create a lot of entrepreneurs. E2 entrepreneurial education will create an army of job creators versus job seekers, and change the face of the American economy within 8 years," says Delmedico.
Delmedico, a successful entrepreneur, award-winning author, and owner of multiple companies, launched the E2 petition for entrepreneurship education, a bold new plan to expose America’s youth to entrepreneurship education in grades 4-12 to create a generation of new leaders by the year 2020.
“If Entrepreneurship is the engine of our economy, creates jobs, and ultimately determines global leadership, enterprising should be taught in our K-12 schools,” says Delmedico.
The need for job creation in America as well as around the world is at the forefront of political arguments. GDP is the biggest determining factor of future jobs. Americans are plagued by the dismal reality of a jobless future.
“America will be overrun as a global powerhouse unless there is a big, bold economic miracle, says Delmedico. “One of the toughest and most scarce supplies of talent in the world is to find enterprising leaders. The solution is very clear and needs to be acted upon now. We need to create more entrepreneurs in America.”
In 2009, Delmedico launched the Little Green Money Machine educational products and authored the book Kids in Business Around the World to aid the development of young entrepreneurial minds. The Little Green Money Machine exposes youth to goal setting, creative thinking, financial literacy, and setting up their first business.
