SAN FRANCISCO, CA—
June 14, 2012— (PRWEB) June 14, 2012 -- HAXLR8R, the first China and Bay area based mentorship-driven seed-funding program for hardware-related startups, is hosting its inaugural Demo Day event in the San Francisco Bay area. The event will take place on Monday, June 18 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. PT at Autodesk Gallery in the Embarcadero in San Francisco, California.
The HAXLR8R (pronounced haccelerator) program provided nine international hardware-related startups with a 111-day accelerator program. The journey began in Shenzhen, China where they were mentored by some of the industry’s most well-known experts for fifteen weeks, including executives who have helped drive the success of breakthrough companies including Avid Technology, IDEO, Makerbot, Techshop and Zeo. Demo Day on June 18 is the culmination of the program, as all nine startups will demonstrate their product to San Francisco’s most influential and innovative seed and early stage investors and potential partners. Products will be unveiled for markets including robotics, toys, connected devices, Internet of Things (IOT), energy, cooking appliances, self-quantification and medical.
